The Skimmer Eco Dry 7.1mm is the thinnest and lightest half rope on the market, making it the perfect choice for demanding ice and mixed climbing where every gram matters. This dynamic rope is crafted with a PFC- and PFAS-free Eco Dry finish, meeting the UIAA standard for water-repellent ropes, ensuring it is both environmentally friendly and highly functional. With a water absorption rate of less than 2%, it far exceeds the requirements of the UIAA Water Repellent Test, making it durably water repellent and dirt resistant.
Thanks to its Thermo Shield treatment, the rope delivers exceptional handling and flexibility, ensuring smooth operation in challenging conditions. The 3D lap coiling technique allows for instant use right out of the packaging without tangles. Certified as both a half and twin rope, it offers versatility and reliability for climbers aiming for peak performance.
Technical specifications include a core proportion of 60%, a sheath proportion of 40%, and a diameter of 7.1mm. It is lightweight at just 36g per meter, with a static elongation of 9.0% as a half rope and 5.2% as a twin rope. Dynamic elongation measures 32% and 29% respectively, while the impact force is rated at 6.1kN (half rope) and 10.0kN (twin rope). With a cut value of 11 and the ability to sustain 5 falls (half rope) or 18 falls (twin rope), it ensures durability and safety. The rope is made of high-quality polyamide and features a middle marking for enhanced usability. Its certifications include EN 892, affirming its compliance with the highest safety standards.
